In mid-April 2004 specks began appearing in my left eye, which became cause for concern. On April 19 I was examined at a nearby hospital and diagnosed with myodesopsia. They also said I had symptoms of cataracts. Additionally, the doctor also said I might have glaucoma, and asked me to come for an examination on another day. I attended daily services at the Shinreikyo Center as much as possible and used one of the Shinreikyo Holy Offerings as eye-drops.
With the cooperation of my family I chanted the Holy Word. It was just after I had applied for and said special prayers for my complete cure that there was a mucous discharge from my eyes. Especially on the day before Advent Festival of Kyososama there was a heavy discharge, and my eyes were bloodshot and swelled. At the same time it felt as if there were thin pieces of glass in my eyes, and they hurt.
Often when I awoke, my eyes would not open because of the heavy discharge, and I finally got them open after using a Holy Offering to wash my eyes. This continued for about a week.
After a week the floaters did not appear as often, and the amount of mucous discharges also lessened. I expressed my sincere thanks because I could feel how Kyososama’s Divine Power was purifying and saving me.
On May 24, a month after my eye examination, I was reexamined at the hospital and told, “Your eyes are looking very good, and your vision has recovered. There’s also no reason to worry about the glaucoma we were concerned about.”
The doctor also said, “The incidence of myodesopsia is 43% for people in their 60s, and 73% for those in their 70s, while cataracts also increase with age. Generally they are a phenomenon of aging.”
Kyososama’s Divine Power eliminated my affliction in a short time despite the high probability of getting these disorders.
I had heard that major phenomena occur at the time of Shinreikyo functions, and I experienced it first hand.
